1 HOUR BEGINNER EXPERIENCE
This experience is suitable for complete beginners, beginner & novice riders of all ages and is a great for families wishing to ride together.
The experience starts in the arena where you will receive instruction covering mounting, position in the saddle, steering, walking & trotting. The instruction is tailored to each riders ability.
The ride then goes for a walk out along the country lane which has views of the surrounding countryside & mountains.
The ride is suitable for adults & children from 7yrs. Younger children from 4yrs may ride as part of a family group but please email/phone to check before booking.
A minimum of two riders required per booking. This ride is not available as a private 1 to 1 ride. Larger groups of more than 5 riders may be taken subject to availability please email/phone to arrange group bookings.
These rides throughout the week at 12pm & 4pm.

1.5hr BEGINNER LESSON & SAND DUNE TRAIL
This experience is suitable for beginners with some prior experience. Complete beginners must book the 1 hour beginner experience.
Minimum Riding Skills Needed
- Mount/Dismount
- Hold Reins Correctly (English Style)
- Walk on a quiet horse/pony
- Turn and Steer a quiet horse/pony
- Stop a horse from walk
- Slow down a quiet horse/pony from walk & trot
- All riders must be able to ride off the lead rein
- Participants must be capable of leading their horse/pony to the mounting area
The experience starts with a ½ hour assessment & instructional lesson in the arena. This lesson will cover:- leading, mounting, turning, stopping, slowing a horse and how to ride up & down hills. You will also be given the opportunity to trot. After this lesson if you do not show you have sufficient skills to control the horse safely the ride will stay onsite. Our decision on the riding assessment is final.
After your lesson you will go out on the Sand Dune Trail. The sand dune trail does not go down onto the beach. The trail runs alongside Tullan Strand and has stunning coastal & mountain views. The ride is at a walk with a small trot if the guide feels the riders have the necessary skills. Accompanied children from 8 years & unaccompanied children from 10 years are welcome on this ride.

1½ HOUR NOVICE BEACH RIDE
The 1½ hour novice ride ride goes on to Tullan Strand and then goes up into the sand dunes. The ride includes long stretches of trotting and may include a short canter if all riders have the necessary experience. All riders will be assessed in arena before going onto the beach. If not at the standard the ride will revert to the Beginner Sand Dune Trail or it will stay onsite.

2 HR BEGINNER BEACH RIDE

- To ride on the beach all riders must be able to rise (post) to the trot independently i.e without holding onto saddle or neckstrap
- All riders must be able to ride off the lead rein
- Participants must be capable of leading their horse/pony to the mounting area
All riders will receive a ½ hour assessment lesson in the arena before going out. The lesson will include leading, mounting, how to hold the reins, position in the saddle, asking the horse to walk, steering & stopping, trotting is also included. This lesson time is included in the 2 hours.
The two hour beginner ride goes deep into the sand dunes alongside Tullan Strand this trail has stunning mountain & costal views. The ride will go on the beach if the riders have prior experience and are able to trot in the assessment lesson. Riding on the beach is also subject to how busy the beach is with other users, it can get very busy during July & August so cannot be guaranteed.
If not at the required standard to ride on the beach the ride will go to the sand dunes or stay on site. Our decision on the riding assessment is final. Accompanied children from 10 years are welcome on this ride.

HALF DAY EXPERIENCE
This experience is for beginner and novice riders looking to improve and gain further experience and confidence with horses & riding.
Your experience will start with an introduction to your horse and learning how to groom, saddle & bridle your horse. During this session you will be bonding with your horse and gaining confidence.
You will then start your riding lesson which will be tailored to your ability and experience. Our instructors will teach you basic riding skills offering you support and guidance helping you to improve your skills and confidence.
After your lesson you will go out to the beach and sand dunes for a 1½ hour ride.
Minimum age for accompanied children is 12 years old.

If you haven't the experience required for one of our beach or dune trails we have onsite lesson experiences. These are open to all levels of rider and we have experiences for children from 4 years old.
The country lane is part of a half hour or 1 hour experience.
