Camps for St Brigid's Bank Holiday and February Mid Term available.

ABOUT PONY CAMP

Beginner Pony camp sessions are designed to give your child hands on experience in pony care & riding.  They will be taught basic riding skills in the arena and will be taken for walk outs along the  country lane. 

Intermediate/Advanced sessions aim to improve current riding ability and include lessons in flatwork & jumping. Stable management lectures & practical sessions will test and improve existing knowledge. 

CAMP SESSIONS

Pony camp sessions are run in small groups of up to 6 children each session is for 3 hours for 1, 3 or 5 days.

The session will include:- 

  • Grooming.
  • Tacking up (putting on Saddle & Bridle).
  • General Horse care.
  • Riding Lesson tailored to the child's ability.
  • Pony Games, Lead out or beach ride.

The sessions will be progressive over the 3/5 days and your child will be taking part in different activities/stable management tasks over the week. Children learn through fun and hands on experience under supervision. Beach/dune rides are subject to riding ability & weather conditions and are only held during 3/5 day camps. 

Camp sessions are for children aged 7 years and over.
All staff have child protection qualifications and have been Garda vetted.
